A True Radio Great!
Hey Everyone,
As you may know, from time to time I like to call into my favorite radio shows. Jim Rome, Adam Carrolla and Ron and Fez are a few of the best out there. Today though I had the pleasure of speaking on the radio with one of the true greats of the radio industry. Sometimes a person’s name is synonymous with their industry.
If I say, “Vin Scully” you would think, “Dodgers”.
If I said, “Ford”. You would say, “Cars”.
Well today my friends, when I say, “Dave MacDonald”, you should say RADIO.
Mr. MacDonald goes by many great nicknames. Some of you know him as EAST SIDE DAVE, or DAVEY MAC, or RED. My friends and I have always admiringly called him LUCKY BOY.
Today I had the absolute pleasure of actually speaking with Dave MacDonald on XM Sattelite radio for around ten minutes. I have to admit my heart was racing the entire time. It isn’t every day that you are speaking frankly and candidly with one of your all time greatest heroes.
If any of you get a chance to listen to Dave MacDonald speak on the radio, JUMP AT THE CHANCE!!!!!
You wont be sorry that you allowed yourself to entertained by one of the true greats.

Honest to God Jay, ESD is great on the Ron and Fez show. With that said, I tuned on Saturday and they were giving away……sweatpants. I can’t say I pushed to the phone and started dialing.

oh!it must be really great and intense talk with i hero your’s!is i great experience.well in spain is dificult hear this radio shows but if i have some chance in internet or something i will be happy and very interesting to hear.merry christmas and happy new year jay!many kisses from spain.

You two can talk the sports, the comedy, the pop culture, etc. This can be so big that Sirius XM could have a monster on their hands.
mr. mohr – i have actually followed most of davey mac’s career, so here’s what i think- he’s got talent, but he’s a loose canon, and won’t be able to sustain any longer of a career in this business. what about his much discussed addictions? alcohol, porn, fecal matter?
not to mention the problems he has had in his childhood with his mom. Her dressing him up as a girl? no doubt it led to his almost incestual relationship today. no wonder why he ran away at the age of 23.
the talent may be there jay, but the stability is not. mention his name in a couple of years and people will say davey red who? or just snicker like the joke that he has become. god bless his unfortunate family at this time of year.

I say thank you to Mr. Jay Mohr, also known in most circles as “Mr. Hollywood,” for the kind words he has written. I say thank you to Mr. Hollywood for seeing the light. I say thank you to Jay for writing the truth. Whether it be Ron & Fez or Special Delivery starring Sam & Dave, I say thank you America for giving an upper-class boy from the good side of town and chance to sparkle. Thank, Mr. Hollywood.
