LAW AND ORDER CI:
I am going to blog about my experience on LAOCI while I am here in New York. I am basically playing Charlie Sheen if he was a fashion designer.

Day one.

My pick up time this morning was at 6:45. I was driven to Chelsea Piers where they shoot the show. This was an incredibly surreal experience to me because when I was much, much younger, I used to play in a basketball league here. Me and a bunch of my buddies would wedge ourselves into a cab and get on the court and run with strangers that were way better than we ever were. Today however, I am to be fitted for wardrobe and then in a few hours I will act opposite Vincent D’Onofrio and Kathrine Erbe. If Al Pacino were waiting on set to act with me I wouldn’t be as intimidated as I am right now. Law And Order is my ALL TIME favorite show. Not wanting to ease me into anything, production has my first scene with me being interrogated by Goren and Eames. YIKES!  I have memorized my lines but keep looking them over like a speed freak checking his pockets for some morsel he may have missed. One of my favorite expressions is, “If you wish to drown, don’t torture yourself with shallow water.” Amen. In a few hours I will dive head first and headlong into the deep end. I will keep you posted. So far everyone is incredibly nice and professional and nice and nice and nice. I have discovered that since I hit 40 being nice is really all I look for in others. I am going to try and take a nap now. I will let you know how my Goren and Eames grilling goes later.
